NCT ID NCT06802601

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether adding special eye and balance (visio-vestibular) exercises to standard manual therapy and exercise can reduce pain and improve function, balance, and reaction time in people with chronic neck pain. Fifty-four adults with neck pain for at least 3 months took part. The goal is to find a better way to treat neck pain by also targeting the body's balance and movement systems.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Manual therapy, exercise, and visio-vestibular exercises
What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could offer a more effective way to manage chronic neck pain by improving balance and reaction time alongside pain relief.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed study with only 54 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The added benefit of visio-vestibular exercises over standard therapy is uncertain.
