New camera catheter for heart arteries put to the test

NCT ID NCT06685783

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a new imaging catheter (Vis-Rx Prime) used with a special camera system to take pictures inside the heart's arteries. 34 adults with coronary artery disease who were already scheduled for a heart procedure took part. The goal was to see how easy the catheter was for doctors to use and how good the images were. The study did not provide a treatment or cure, but aimed to improve how doctors see and treat blocked arteries.
