Engineered viruses target incurable cancers in new trial
NCT ID NCT02285816
Summary
This study is testing a new treatment for advanced solid tumors that have spread and are incurable. It uses two specially engineered viruses designed to kill cancer cells and train the immune system to attack the tumor. The main goals are to find the safest and most effective dose of the viruses and to see if they can shrink tumors in patients who have run out of standard treatment options.
