Scientists seek early warning signs for dangerous infections in vulnerable kids

Summary
This study aims to understand and predict which children are most likely to get serious respiratory infections after an organ or bone marrow transplant. Researchers will collect nasal swabs and blood samples from up to 2,000 children before their transplant and again if they get sick. The goal is to find patterns in the immune system that can act as an early warning sign, helping doctors protect these vulnerable patients.
