New test could spot dangerous viruses before they damage transplanted kidneys
NCT ID NCT07393594
Summary
This study aims to see if regularly checking virus levels in kidney transplant patients can help prevent serious infections that damage the new kidney. Researchers will follow 1,000 patients for a year after transplant, using a new blood test to monitor three specific viruses. The goal is to catch infections earlier so doctors can adjust medications before the viruses cause kidney damage or disease.
