NCT ID NCT07045194

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new balloon device that delivers the drug sirolimus to treat re-narrowed heart arteries (in-stent restenosis). It compares this balloon to an existing one that uses paclitaxel. About 740 adults with one re-narrowed artery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two balloons during a heart procedure. The main goal is to see if the new balloon works as well as the standard one at preventing heart-related problems within 12 months.
