Virtual brain map aims to sharpen depression treatment

NCT ID NCT04956081

Summary

This study tested new software designed to help doctors more precisely target a brain stimulation treatment called TMS for people with treatment-resistant depression. Researchers worked with 22 participants to see if using brain scans to create a personalized 'virtual map' for coil placement was feasible and safe. The goal was to develop a tool that could make this personalized targeting approach easier for clinics to use in the future.
