First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a virtual, on-demand telemedicine program for adults who frequently visit the emergency department and have both physical and behavioral health needs. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the telemedicine program (short-term support from a behavioral health provider and community health worker) or standard care. The goal is to see if the program reduces the number of emergency department visits over 120 days.
