Mindfulness in VR: a High-Tech path to quit smoking?
NCT ID NCT05766553
Summary
This study is testing whether practicing mindfulness meditation in a virtual reality (VR) environment can help people quit smoking and stay smoke-free. It compares a six-week VR meditation program against standard nicotine patches and gum. Researchers want to see if the VR approach reduces cravings and lowers the chance of relapse at three and six months.
