First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether watching a virtual reality video or coloring a mandala pattern could help pregnant women feel less anxious during a common fetal health check called a Non-Stress Test (NST). The researchers randomly assigned 108 pregnant women to one of three groups: VR, coloring, or standard care. They measured anxiety levels, satisfaction, and whether the NST results were normal (reactive). The goal was to see if these simple activities could improve the test experience and outcomes.
