VR gaming takes on brain recovery: new study tests interactive therapy

NCT ID NCT07441798

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether an interactive virtual reality system (6Degrees MyMove) can improve arm and leg movement after a stroke or traumatic brain injury better than just watching VR. Sixty adults in early recovery will use either interactive VR or passive VR three times a week for eight weeks, alongside standard rehab. Researchers will measure motor function, dexterity, walking speed, and daily living skills to see which approach works best.
