First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study explores whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset can help reduce pain, anxiety, and fatigue in people receiving palliative care. Forty adults with complex needs will be randomly assigned to either an immersive VR experience or a less immersive control for 10 minutes daily over a week. The goal is to see if deep distraction through VR can improve well-being without medication.
