First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested two simple, non-drug methods to help children aged 6 to 9 feel less pain and anxiety during their first dental visit. One group played with toy dental tools before the procedure, another used virtual reality glasses, and a third group received standard care. Researchers measured anxiety and pain using child-friendly scales and checked heart rate and oxygen levels to see which approach worked best.
