VR headsets tackle stomach paralysis
NCT ID NCT05079568
Summary
This small pilot study from Mayo Clinic is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) is safe and tolerable for people with gastroparesis, a condition where the stomach empties too slowly. Thirty adult participants will try either an active VR program or a sham (fake) VR program for four weeks to see if it helps ease symptoms like nausea, pain, and bloating. The study is currently suspended, meaning it is not actively enrolling new participants.
