NCT ID NCT07374640
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-phase trial at Boston Children's Hospital will test whether adding virtual reality (VR) to standard treatments like biofeedback and cognitive behavioral therapy can help 12 adolescents with chronic dizziness. The goal is to see if VR can safely and feasibly reduce dizziness and improve quality of life. If successful, it could lead to a new, engaging way to treat this condition.

Active substance
Virtual reality headset
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new, low-cost way to treat chronic dizziness in teens by using virtual reality to retrain the brain.
What could go wrong
This is a very early, small study with only 12 participants. It tests feasibility, not effectiveness, so results may not apply broadly. Virtual reality may also cause discomfort in some users.
