Video game workouts boost fitness and fun for seniors

NCT ID NCT06216236

Summary

This study tested whether a fun, video game-like exercise program using a Kinect camera system could improve physical fitness and quality of life for older adults showing early signs of frailty. Researchers compared this interactive training to traditional exercise methods in 64 community-dwelling adults over 60. The goal was to see if the engaging technology could help seniors stay more active and improve measures like walking endurance, strength, and body composition.
