First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding intensive virtual reality-based balance and gait training to standard physical therapy helps people who had a stroke within the last six months. About 48 adults with stroke-related weakness on one side will be randomly assigned to either standard rehab alone or standard rehab plus virtual reality training. The goal is to see if the extra training improves mobility, balance confidence, and quality of life.
