Virtual surgery planning tested to improve life after jaw cancer
NCT ID NCT04725396
Summary
This study compared two methods for planning jaw reconstruction surgery in patients with oral or throat cancer. It tested whether using advanced 3D virtual planning before surgery leads to better quality of life outcomes than traditional planning. The main goal was to see if patients who had virtual planning reported better eating, speaking, and appearance one year after their operation.
