Summary

This study looked at 132 people with oral or throat cancer who needed part of their jaw removed and rebuilt using a bone from their leg. Half had standard surgery, and half had 3D virtual planning before the operation. The main goal was to see if virtual planning improved quality of life one year after surgery, especially for eating, speaking, and appearance.
