Summary
This study tested whether watching virtual natural environments (via VR or tablet) for 10 minutes, three times a week over eight weeks could improve the physical and mental health of older adults living in long-term care facilities. 101 residents aged 60 and older took part. The researchers measured relaxation, heart rate, mood, anxiety, and stress. The goal was to see if these virtual nature experiences could enhance quality of life without needing medication.
