Digital lifeline: VA tests app to save veterans from suicide

Summary

This study is testing whether a smartphone app called the Virtual Hope Box can help prevent suicide in Veterans who have recently been hospitalized for a suicidal crisis. The app provides coping tools and support. Researchers will follow 928 Veterans for six months to see if using the app reduces suicidal thoughts and behaviors compared to usual care.
