First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a smartphone tool called the Virtual Hope Box Enhanced Facilitation (VHB-EF) to see if it lowers suicide risk in veterans after they leave a psychiatric hospital. About 928 veterans who recently had a suicidal crisis will use the tool, which provides coping resources and support. Researchers will also interview veterans and healthcare providers to understand how to best use this tool in real-world care.
