Virtual support groups aim to break silence around postpartum depression in latina mothers
NCT ID NCT05423093
Summary
This study tested whether virtual group sessions during pediatric visits could help Spanish-speaking mothers learn about postpartum depression and connect with support resources. Researchers worked with 26 mothers of infants to provide education about depression symptoms, reduce stigma, and explain available clinic and community services. The goal was to help mothers recognize symptoms, feel comfortable discussing them, and seek appropriate care when needed.
