First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether wearing virtual reality glasses during a routine postpartum uterine tone assessment could lower anxiety and pain while increasing comfort. 146 women within 24 hours of giving birth participated. Researchers measured pain using a visual scale and anxiety with a standard questionnaire. The goal was to see if a simple, non-drug distraction could make this necessary exam more tolerable.
