Tablet-Based care cuts ER trips for home ventilation patients
NCT ID NCT04180722
Summary
This study tested whether a virtual care platform could help people who are starting to use a ventilator at home. Researchers compared the virtual support to usual care for 444 children and adults in Ontario. The goal was to see if the virtual platform reduced emergency room visits, lowered caregiver stress, and made care more efficient during this challenging transition.
