First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study will compare two types of video laryngoscope blades (hyperangulated vs. Macintosh) to see which one helps doctors place a breathing tube more successfully on the first try in adults having surgery with general anesthesia. About 524 participants will be randomly assigned to one blade type. The goal is to find out which patients benefit most from each blade and to create a tool that predicts the best blade for each person.
