NCT ID NCT07367997

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a 3.5-minute educational video shown before a doctor's visit helps cancer patients understand radiation therapy better than standard verbal instructions alone. One hundred patients scheduled for radiation will be randomly assigned to receive either the video via WhatsApp or usual verbal education. Researchers will measure changes in patient knowledge, anxiety, and satisfaction using questionnaires.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Radiotherapy-specific educational video

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that a simple video before a doctor visit helps cancer patients better understand their radiation treatment and feel less anxious.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study (100 people) that measures knowledge and anxiety, not health outcomes. The video is in Urdu and requires a smartphone, so results may not apply to other languages or settings.
