Summary
This study compared two methods for placing a special breathing tube (double-lumen tube) used in lung surgery. Over 900 adults having thoracic surgery were randomly assigned to get the tube placed using either a traditional laryngoscope or a video laryngoscope. The main goal was to see which method led to successful placement on the first try.
