Summary
This study compared two methods for placing a special breathing tube (double-lumen tube) used in lung surgery. 916 adults having thoracic surgery were randomly assigned to get the tube placed using either a video laryngoscope (with a camera) or a traditional direct laryngoscope. The main goal was to see which method leads to successful tube placement on the first try.
