Movie therapy for lazy eye: a fun alternative to patching?

NCT ID NCT05439200

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether watching specially designed movies can improve vision in young children (ages 3-7) with lazy eye (amblyopia) better than the standard treatment of wearing an eye patch. The movies are designed to make both eyes work together, which may be easier for children to stick with than patching. The study will compare vision changes and treatment adherence between the two approaches.
