Can a simple video calm Kids' fears before a scary hospital procedure?
NCT ID NCT06698445
Summary
This study tested whether showing a short educational video to children before a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy could make the experience less scary and painful. Researchers worked with 60 children, aged 7 to 12, who were having the procedure for the first time. They compared kids who watched the video to those who received standard verbal instructions to see if the video reduced anxiety, fear, and pain while improving satisfaction.
