Can watching videos speed up recovery after surgery?
NCT ID NCT07258017
Summary
This study tested whether adding interactive educational videos to standard care helps patients recover from bowel obstruction after abdominal surgery. About 310 patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus five educational videos about their condition, rehabilitation, and diet. Researchers measured if the videos improved patients' quality of life, shortened their hospital stay, and helped relieve their obstruction symptoms faster.
