Summary
This study tested whether adding an educational video to standard doctor explanations helps hospitalized patients better understand medical tests they need. Researchers worked with 97 adult patients in an infectious diseases department who were getting specific tests for the first time. The goal was to see if videos improved patients' perceived understanding and reduced test failures or missing information.
