Video games tested as fun exercise alternative for serious Heart-Lung condition
NCT ID NCT05901168
Summary
This study looked at whether playing active video games could be a good alternative to traditional exercise for people with pulmonary hypertension, a serious heart and lung condition. Sixteen patients tried both a 20-minute video game session and a 20-minute traditional exercise session on different days. Researchers measured their heart rate, blood pressure, energy use, and how much they enjoyed each activity to see if video games could provide similar benefits in a more enjoyable way.
