Doctors prescribe xbox games to help kids with cerebral palsy
NCT ID NCT07421193
Summary
This study tested whether adding motion-controlled video games to standard physical therapy could help children with cerebral palsy use their affected arm and hand better. Researchers worked with 24 children, aged 7 to 13, who have a type of cerebral palsy that affects one side of their body. One group received standard therapy, while another group received standard therapy plus sessions playing Xbox Kinect games, to see if the games improved skills, independence, and participation in daily activities.
