Doctors test video games to help Parkinson's patients walk better

NCT ID NCT03560089

Summary

This study tested whether a video game-based rehabilitation program could help improve walking and balance in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers worked with 25 patients who had movement problems that didn't respond well to standard medications. They measured changes in walking speed, step length, balance tests, and quality of life to see if the game-based therapy made a difference.
