Video game aims to teach teens heart health independence

NCT ID NCT07042334

Summary

This study is testing a new educational video game designed to help teenagers with congenital heart disease learn the skills needed to manage their own healthcare as they transition from pediatric to adult care. The game teaches skills like talking to doctors, understanding medical information, and managing medications and appointments. Researchers will enroll about 150 teens, parents, and clinicians to see if the game is easy to use, acceptable, and helps build confidence for independent care.
