NCT ID NCT07279974

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 27, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether showing patients a short video before hip replacement surgery could help them feel less afraid of moving after the operation. 96 adults scheduled for hip replacement were split into two groups: one got standard verbal instructions plus a video, the other got only verbal instructions. The researchers measured fear of movement, pain levels, and how well patients moved after surgery. The goal was to see if the video made recovery easier and less painful.
