Screen time soothes: simple video cuts needle fear for young kids

NCT ID NCT07152665

Summary

This study tested if showing a short educational video to children and their parents before a blood draw could make the experience less scary and painful. Researchers worked with 76 children aged 4-7, comparing those who watched the video to those who received standard care. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost approach could reduce the distress kids often feel during this common medical procedure.
