Can a simple video keep kids out of the ER?
NCT ID NCT01655251
Summary
This study tested whether giving parents a video with discharge instructions, in addition to standard written instructions, would help them care for their child's fever at home. The goal was to see if the video reduced the number of families who needed to return to the emergency department within 72 hours. Researchers compared two groups of parents: one received a video and written instructions, while the other received only written instructions.
