Can a simple video help seniors with failing kidneys make tough medical choices?

NCT ID NCT04347629

Summary

This study is testing whether a video decision aid can help older patients with advanced kidney disease make better-informed choices about their future medical care. About 456 patients aged 65 and older will either watch a video explaining treatment options or receive usual care. The main goal is to see if the video helps patients have more documented conversations with their doctors about their care preferences and end-of-life wishes.
