Vibration therapy could ease muscle stiffness in legs

NCT ID NCT07447934

First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether a device that delivers gentle vibrations (Vibrotactile Stimulation) can reduce muscle stiffness and improve walking in people with leg spasticity. About 25 adults with spasticity from a neurological condition will try the device on different body areas during lab sessions and at home. Researchers will measure changes in muscle activity, flexibility, and walking speed to see if the vibrations help and which placement works best.
