First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special vibrating device placed on the chest can improve breathing in older patients who have a hip fracture and are in respiratory failure. Sixty participants will receive the therapy for 5 days, and doctors will measure blood oxygen levels and take chest X-rays to see if it helps. The device is portable and can be used even on patients who are on a ventilator.
