Smart vest shakes up lung care
NCT ID NCT07175012
Summary
This study tested a new wearable vest called ELECTROVEST that combines vibration with gentle electrical stimulation to help clear mucus from the lungs. Researchers compared it to a standard vibrating vest in 21 adults with chronic lung diseases like COPD and cystic fibrosis. The main goals were to see if the new vest helped people cough up more mucus and if it was more comfortable to use.
