Sit and vibrate? new study tests device for diabetes
NCT ID NCT07350473
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, home-based vibration device worn on the calf can help people with type-2 diabetes better control their blood sugar. Researchers in Saudi Arabia will enroll 305 previously inactive adults to use either a real vibration device, a fake (sham) device, or continue their usual care for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the vibration improves a key long-term blood sugar marker (HbA1c) and other health measures like fitness, sleep, and cholesterol.
