Buzzing away the pain: new device could make laser eye treatments more comfortable

NCT ID NCT06649604

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple vibration device can reduce the pain patients feel during a common laser eye treatment for diabetic retinopathy. Researchers will compare the pain levels in 50 patients when one eye is treated with the device and the other eye is treated without it. The goal is to find a safe, non-invasive way to make this necessary procedure more comfortable.
