First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested a fluorescent dye called VGT-309 to see if it can make colorectal tumors glow during a colonoscopy, helping doctors find them more easily. Nine adults with colorectal cancer received the dye before their procedure. The study was stopped early, but researchers looked at safety and how well the dye highlighted tumors compared to standard methods.
