Could a pill stop your bones from weakening?

NCT ID NCT07473713

Summary

This study is testing if a medicine called veverimer can help slow bone loss in people with osteopenia, a condition of lower-than-normal bone density. Researchers want to see if veverimer reduces acid levels in the body, which may help protect bones. About 60 adults aged 50+ will take either veverimer or a placebo for 8 weeks to see if it's safe and effective.
