Summary

This study is testing a program that pairs young veterans with trained civilian sponsors to help them adjust to life after the military. The goal is to see if this one-on-one support can reduce feelings of isolation and difficulty, and ultimately lower the risk of suicide. The program is being rolled out in six Texas cities with 630 participating veterans.
