Inner ear training may cut fall risk in stroke survivors

NCT ID NCT07494500

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether special balance exercises that target the inner ear (vestibular system) can help people who have had a stroke walk better and lower their risk of falling. About 40 adults who had a stroke at least 6 months ago will be assigned to either vestibular training or standard balance training. The goal is to see if focusing on the inner ear improves community walking and reduces falls more than usual therapy.
